Abbie - Today we went and tried to drive to Alice Springs. On the way Liv and I watched Alice in Wonderland. Right before we had finished the movie, we stopped at a roadhouse and had some hot chips while watching the emus. We then got back in the car and again finished Alice in Wonderland. Just after we had finished Alice in Wonderland, we saw the sign that said, Welcome to Alice Springs. We got a photo and found our Big 4 caravan park. We got in, set up and went in a pool. We all loved it. Then we cam e back and had a shower and got ready to go out to dinner with a friend called Heather. We went out to a restaurant called the Juicy Rump. We had a nice dinner and went to bed at our Big 4 caravan park.
Olivia - First we got up and packed up the van and then we went. In the car Abbie and I were happily watching Alice in Wonderland when mum and dad yelled out 'do you want to get out and look at the emus' that were in a big cage. But me and Abbie weren't very interested and so we got some hot chips instead. We got a large and when we got there we asked for gravy but they didn't have any so we just got sauce, but we had to refill the sauce again. Then we left. Our next stop was the Big 4 Macdonal Range Caravan Park. When we got there we went in the pool and had loads of fun. Then we had a shower and Abbie and I went on the jumping pillow and then the playground right next door. We went out for dinner with a lady named Heather. It was great. Abbie and I both got a T shirt from her. But they were a little big. Then we went to bed.

Grannyx Did anyone take a photo of the baby emus? Do they have feathers when they are first hatched? Alice in Wonderland is a famous book but it's a bit weird. What did you think about it? Do you know people who are like any of the characters described in the story?
Mum x Enjoying the trip so far B and B? Thinking of you all the time. The Barres children have been with us all week and miss the girls gtreatly!
Bron Mum- we didn't see baby emus, only emus. Our kids miss their cousins too and were very jealous that they were at Luna Park! Blake and I are very much enjoying our trip! Love to all the fam xx
Uncle Linton Had to laugh, Oli, when you "weren't very interested" in the emus. Reminds me of when a couple came very excitedly up to Emily, while we were in Cairns, and told her to come and "see this amazing bird", to which Emily replied "oh, it's just an orange footed scrub foul".
