Abbie - Today we left the rest area and headed to Kings canyon. When we got to Kings canyon we did a six-kilometre walk around the top of Kings canyon. It was a hard, steep walk but when we got to the top we were amazed at the sight. It was magnificent, and it was like looking down into a big fallen rock with a few gardens. After that we had lunch at Kings creek. We then headed off to find a rest area that had a fire, we cooked damper and it got dark so we went to bed.
Olivia - First we went to a petrol station and filled up the car with some gas. Then we went off. We went to a place called Kings canyon and did a walk that went for about 2 and a half to 3 and a half hours. The walk started with a rocky staircase and a little view. But after there was more tiring rocky steps. At the end there was more rocky steps but thankfully this time they led down to the carpark. We went home. We found a campsite we gathered some sticks to do a fire. For dinner we had spag bol and then for dessert we had damper that was delicious. Then we went to bed.

Granny x Grandad and iI did this walk on a day that reached 43 degrees!!! We started very early in the morning and it was spectacular. Is there still a ferny section at the bottom of the gorge called "The Garden of Eden?" How are you cooking the damper? On the toasting forks or rolled into a ball and wrapped in foil?
Abbie Hello granny the garden of Eden is still there! But we didn't go there because we were to tired!
Olivia peck Granny we did'nt do Eather of those we wrapped it around a stick so we could get the jam in and the butter right down to the bottom.
Uncle Linton I really enjoyed the walk you did. Tell me, girls, do they still have the little rock towers everywhere? Emily and Benjamin kept collecting new stones to add to them. You seem to be eating lots of damper...just like the early explorers. Hope you have some nice jam to go with them! :)
Olivia Yes Uncle Linton, there were still little rock towers along the Kings Canyon walk but we didn't add to them. I took a few rocks off the top of one tower!
