Abbie - As we were were leaving Goulburn the next morning I was a bit sad but we were going to be home soon. At the place we were going to stay called EPIC caravan park in Canberra we set up and had a great dinner. The next morning we went to the War Memorial. It was great. It had models and lots of interesting artwork and it even had lot of great information. The next morning we went to see Parliament House and it was massive. It had a big tapestry and lots of information. It was amazing and had information that I didn't even understand. Next we had a picnic lunch looking straight at Parliament House. After that we went to The Mint. It's where they make all of Australia's coins. But they don't make notes there. We watched a video on how it's all made from scratch. It was all great.
Olivia - Today we left Goulburn and headed to Canberra. We went to a caravan park in Canberra and decided to go to the War Memorial opposite Parliament House. We went inside and there were sound tracks, models and pictures. We spent a while there looking at models and bombs and bullets. Then we left. For dinner we had meat pies again. And for dessert we tried some of our chocolates from the Berry chocolate factory. We then decided to go to bed. The next day we went to Questacon. It was rated higher than Scienceworks. We got there and spent a while looking at things that were funny and amazing. We then went up to a science room and found out amazing things about science. We had a look around and went into a room where just me and Abbie went down a ginormous slide. We got up the top and hung from a bar and suddenly dropped and fell right down a huge steep slide. Dad had a go once and it was too scary so he didn't do it again. We went down for lunch at the café but that slide was so fun that Abbie and I wanted to stay and keep going. We went into room 8 with water and Abbie and I wanted to go on the slide again. So we did that for the rest of the day. We then went back to the caravan park and relaxed until we started to get hungry. We had dinner and went to bed. Next day we went to Parliament House. We got there and it was amazing to see how big it was. We looked around and Dad wanted to do a tour but they were all booked out until 2.30pm. We looked at all of the old and new Prime Ministers and the first Prime Minister ever in Australia. We spent the day there and left. We had lunch on the grass right in front of Parliament House. We then went to The Mint in Canberra. It was about all of the money made in Australia. The Mint made the Bronze Olympic medal ouy of 1 and 2 cent coins. We then left back to the caravan park and had dinner. We then enjoyed a good nights' sleep .

Emily Roe It sounds like you enjoyed your visit to Canberra, girls! I remember going there and seeing all the things you saw and like the rows of names at the War Memorial and all the fun things do do and see at Questacon... were you scared going down the slide? I was, the first time! Did you get to walk around the lake and see the information about different people on the posts along the edge? I remember seeing that a few years ago. I'm glad you liked Canberra :)
