We drove to Townsville so we could get the ferry over to Magnetic Island, we stayed in Townsville for one night but it wasn't that impressive, we were more looking forward to getting over to Magnetic Island.

The next day we took the campervan over with us on the ferry to Magnetic Island, we were glad that we did now because even though it's a small island you would still need some form of transport to get around.

The island itself is made up of a lot of bays, all the bays are amazing with some spectacular views. We stayed out at horseshoe bay for our first night which was the busiest of all bays. We just chilled on the beach and explored the island.It was good to finally have a swim on the beach because all North Queensland beaches are usually not open for people to swim due to the jellyfish season however in Horseshoe Bay there was a designated swimming net so people could swim safely!!

We stayed on Magnetic Island for two nights it was really nice but because it was low season there wasn't really much to get up to at the night time, so it was time to move on.

Next stop is Airlie Beach as we have booked a sailing trip on the Whit Sundays.
