I headed straight to the Te papa museum, which loosely translates as treasure box. A must see place to visit in Wellington. There is already a long queue formed to get into the 1st world war exhibition. You could spend a day in here looking at all 6 floors. Amazing displays, very interactive and impressive exhibitions. Mostly free.
I left the museum and walked to the cable car. As I got on the cable car I had to do a double take as at first I thought it was the lovely Matt Seago driving it. Unfortunately a second glance proved me wrong. Just another lookalike. LOL.
From the top of the cable car I walked down through the Botanical Gardens. A lovely walk in the sunshine lasting about 2 hours.
I intended to walk up to the top of Mount Victoria to get a 360 degree view of the city but the appeal of a cold glass of wine, sitting in the sunshine, people watching won. Very tempted to have another glass of wine but people started smoking around me so I left.
