This morning I went to pick up a hire car, which I will drop off in Christchurch in 27 days time.
So I'm the other side of the world, how many car manufacturers are there? how many models? engine sizes? Colours? Etc. Etc.
So my hire car I'm given is the same make, model and colour to the car I drive at home. The difference being it's automatic and has 4 doors.
I spent all day driving, getting used to the roads, lots of bends, a big big hill, steep ups and downs.
I'm staying for 4 nights in a beach front BnB in Pohara, in Golden Bay. It's near the Abel Tasman national park and also Farewell Spit.

It's my treat to me as I need my own space for a while and not sharing a dorm and bathroom with others.

The picture shows the sun setting as I arrived just after 5pm at an Airbnb, the 1st one I have tried.
There was a bottle of wine and snacks waiting in my room :o)
I think I'm going to like staying here.
