It was pouring again today. Any plans of walking were dashed. We caught the tram into Bern and walked along the longest shopping street in Europe. A couple of kms long. And all under cover which was great! At the far end we reached the Bear put where there are 5 bears roaming loose. Back in history they were used to protect Bern from invaders but now they have a very nice enclosure along the river. After lunch we went back to Chris and Di's apartment for a cuppa....

We have arrived at our apartment in Bern. Unfortunately our apartments are opposite sides of the city but on the same tram route. We will miss the TDF going through here by one day. :( There is a supermarket right next door which is convenient. The weather forecast is better for tomorrow so it will be good for sightseeing.
