Our Global Gallivants
We went to the Premium Outlets today to browse for some good bargoons. It's just a mall like any other, but Jody got a good deal. She bought a pair of Uggs at the outlet for $48! Score! Dave chose a Venezuelan restaurant for lunch called Q'Kenan's. We haven't eaten in an authentic Venezuelan place before. We all enjoyed it. We had a cachapas which is a type of bread made from corn and filled with fresh white homemade cheese. They serve it with some sour cream. It had a bit of a sweet taste so we were wondering if we were having dessert first, but he assured us not. In Venezuela you can buy cachapas at roadside kiosks or gas stations and eat it on the go. Then we had a chicken and a beef arepas. They look like a shawarma, but made with the same corn bread and filled with shredded white cheese and meat and pico de gallo. There's a sauce in the middle of the table that is like a garlic, parmigian mayo. It was also very good, but messy to eat. After doing a little more shopping, we headed back to the condo. It's about 100 miles.
