We spent the last couple days with Marcus and family. Even though we were in San Francisco yesterday, we didn't have enough time to go to the Golden Gate Bridge. Too bad, because it was eventually a beautiful, sunny day. We had an interesting day with Marcus, though. I was looking forward to Japantown, so we made that our first stop. Back to Peg's for brekkie this morning. Yum. There is a lot of traffic on the drive from Reno to San Jose. Rush hour must be nuts. Car temp was reading 38.5 degrees! You can really see the toll that the prolonged draught is taking on the vegetation here. Most of the trees are just burnt, the Palm trees only have a small bit of green on the top. We went to Peg's for breakfast this morning. It's been voted the best breakfast place for 10 years in a row. Delicious vegetarian eggs Benny. We drove to Lake Tahoe today to have a look around. I think it's been about 15 years since we have been there. The last time was with Susan and Dennis. The lake looks nice it's pretty quiet this time of year.
