I started the day super early again waking at 4.30am so to kill some time I locked myself in the bathroom and had a chat to dad. After Trent rose we quickly packed the few things still out and trekked to the train station in Haar for the last time :(. We caught the train into town to get onto the connecting train to Nuremberg, it was a quick journey only 1 hour. After getting off the train we walked the few minutes to our accommodation at the NH Hotel, really nice hotel which we only paid €68. We then headed straight out to investigate what there is to see and do in Nuremberg, it's a beautiful tidy city with lots of historic buildings, we took a general walk around the Main Street getting sore necks from continuously gawking upwards lol. We went for a look through a cathedral and then continued on to a little restaurant called wurst haus, the kinda house I could live in (made of sausage) there I had a Radler and Trent had a dark beer and we had the house specialty of wurst, I had mine with traditional potato salad and Trent had the sauer kraut it was yum. Lucky we furled up because as we continued on towards our destination of our first castle it was a long steep walk that my legs didn't appreciate. The castle was beautiful and had a great museum and I was thrilled to see my first armour. We then made the climb up the tower and I was very proud of Trent for not only making it up the high stairs but to also come out to the view. It was planned to be a full on day as we only had 1 to do everything we could. So after a short cab ride back to the Hauptbahnhopf (central train station) we caught the train out to where the dokumentationzentrum (takes you through the history of the 3rd Reich which i knew very little about so it was really interesting, attached to the museum is the unfinished congress hall which would have held 50,000 people for Hitlers spectacle. It's a strange feeling walking in the same areas where such an evil man once stood and people followed his every word. After a day of walking for numerous hours again we were glad to finally be heading back to our comfy hotel where I could take a bath and soak my tired and sore muscles. Early to sleep and early to rise for tomorrow. Off to Berlin.
