Well we left Frankfurt with a heavy heart for our first train journey to Munchen, was a beautiful trip with the changing of the leaves, my absolute fave time of year to travel its just gorgeous. It was a 3 hour journey and we saw amazing country side and cute townships. We arrived in Munchen and went straight to the information kiosk which I assumed was there to help tourists but the gent that assisted us was no help at all he laughed at us and told us the address we had for our hotel was wrong and it was too far away to explain how to get there by public transport so after having a little panic attack and ringing the hotel to make sure we had the correct address we found another information kiosk that was super helpful and instructed us to catch the s4 train and it took a total of 20 minutes to get to Haar where the hotel is located yay. The receptionist spoke very little English so wasn't a great deal of help with the check in process but it worked itself out, the lift light didn't work so when the doors closed it was like we were in a tomb lmao lucky we only had to go up 1 story, couldn't open our door so the cleaner came and helped and told us we have to pull and push which we are still having problems with, it shouldn't be so hard to open your door when your paying $150 a night to stay here lmao. We made our way into the city again today for Oktoberfest and spent the entire day walking around and soaking up the atmosphere, the beer tents were huge and I had my first beir with lemonade called a radler it was surprisingly yum and the glass was huge :). I ate my first herring roll with pickled onion, looks and sounds disgusting but it was really yum and I'm glad I tried it. There were so many people there by the end of the day, it was very much like our Ekka but 10x the size and with beer tents. It was an amazing day that finished with us walking to the train in the rain and freezing cold and being drenched and shivering but thankfully the weather stayed warm all day for us. We also had a look through the St. Paul's cathedral and climbed the tower it was a beautiful cathedral and the tower was a great climb though my quads weren't so happy by the end of it. Great first day in Munchen :)
