Merry Christmas for the land down under!!!!!! We have had a lovely day in the sun. I would say relaxing but there is a story to be told. The day started off with bacon sandwiches on the balcony overlooking the beach. We then planned to head down to the beach for a late lunch bbq, however when we got there it was obvious that it was going to be a while as the entire Muslim/Indian population of Australia had descended who knew you could cook curry on a bbq!!!! ...

We arrived in Philip Island yesterday and it feels we can finally relax ( it's tiring travelling). Our apartment is really nice and we have a balcony overlooking the beach. Today we are having a tour of Philip Island. But first we went to get lunch which was interesting as we had to get to Newheaven to meet the bus, where nothing was open except the chocolate factory, which we thought was not to bad. So it's bye bye to the beaches and hello to the big city. We arrived in Melbourne after quite a stressful drive, there were a few raised voices and a red traffic light run, but we arrived safe. We are staying in a hotel while here which is quite a treat for us to have our own space and our own bathroom!!!!! We left Apollo Bay and stopped in Lorne on the way through. Here we had to stop at a Pharmacy for a consultation due to an odd rash on my arms. Luckily it turned out to be some flea bites picked up from the bed in Apollo Bay. We then headed to the Erskine Falls which involved more steps but were very nice. We then headed to a viewpoint to take a look over the Great Ocean Road... oh and it rained again! Next up was Airys Inlet and we saw the Split Point lighthous...

We carried on along the GOR and saw the Loch Ard Gorge which is the sight of Australia's most famous ship wreck. Jess had a near death experience nearly standing on a snake, luckily I saw the snake first and stopped her, saving her from certain death. I'm sure the screams from Jess are what ultimately scared the snake off. Whilst here we also saw the Razorback, a line of rocks shaped like a razorback... Then the Thunder Caves and walked out to the beach to see so...
