We're here in Australia's capital which really is not a capital it's actually far nicer no cars, no traffic and no people but still the shops and sights.
We don't have long here so we opted to do a hop on hop off bus tour. The first stop we made was to the Australian War Memorial. This place was very touching and beautifully done. The museum attached was fascinating and we probably could of spent a few days looking around rather then a few hours. We were lucky enough to catch a free tour which helped us see the major highlights.
The next stop on the tour was parliament building and we got to visit the house of representatives and house of senators. Their governmental system is basically the same as the U.K.
Throughout the day on the tour bus we got told about the history of Canberra and how the city was built. We got to see Lake Griffiths with the Cook fountain, the embassy houses (these are all in like an estate and each embassy has their building in the style of their own country). Unfortunately we didn't have as much time as we needed in Canberra and really could have done with an extra day, but this evening were off to Sydney!!!!!.
