We are finally in Byron Bay after a long 14 hours on a coach, and we both can see why people rave about this place. It's beautiful, laid back and full of life. We have just spent the last two days in the beautiful Blue Mountains which are around two hours from Sydney via train. During our time here we have done a lot of walking in around 30 degree heat. Our first stop was Katoomba Falls which was around an hour walk with lots and lots of steps. So yeah, we've just climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge all 134 metres in height!!! Happy New Year !!! We have had one of the best nights ever . We were lucky enough to get tickets to Mrs Macquarie's point in the botanic gardens, this view point overlooks both the opera house and the harbour bridge. Today we survived sharks!!!!! When I say survived we more like swam with them but uncaged. It was one of the best experiences we both have done. The dive was in Manly so we took the boat across passing next to the opera house and into the picturesque harbour, passing the many islands and headlands. The harbour is huge.
