Today we left Brisbane and headed to Noosa for a night. Noosa was a very nice place and we managed to chill out on the beach, spend some time in the sea and soak up the sun. We then headed to Rainbow Beach where we spent another night as this was the place we were being collected for our Fraser Island tour. Today we had a 4 hour bus journey to Brisbane, the highlight being a cheeky stop at KFC on the way! Things didn't start well when we arrived, walking the wrong way out of the bus station and by the time we got to the hostel we looked a bit worse for wear! We are finally in Byron Bay after a long 14 hours on a coach, and we both can see why people rave about this place. It's beautiful, laid back and full of life. On our first day in Byron we took a free walking tour with the hostel around the Cape. It was really good but we were totally unprepared to walk around in 30 degree heat and now both resemble tomatoes. We have just spent the last two days in the beautiful Blue Mountains which are around two hours from Sydney via train. During our time here we have done a lot of walking in around 30 degree heat. Our first stop was Katoomba Falls which was around an hour walk with lots and lots of steps. We got to see the falls but they were running quite slow due to the low rainfall but it was a beautiful stop that looked out over the Jamieson Valley. After all those steps...

So yeah, we've just climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge all 134 metres in height!!! (Doesn't sound that tall but it's twice the height of the opera house) It wasn't as scary as you would think we were harnessed in at all times and the walkways were wide and the ladders had good steps, the worst bit was coming down.
