So, you wouldn't believe it! We got rained on! We come the other side of the world to get away from it and it bloody follows us! Admittedly, it was a very light drizzle for about 5 minutes but that's besides the point.
Today we headed to the National Wine Centre which to be honest wasn't all it was cracked up to be. We ended up being there no more than 30 minutes and will not go down as a particular highlight.
We then headed to the Botanic Gardens for a bit of a picnic. Thanks to some brilliant improvisation from Jess, we had no knife to spread butter on our bread so used the bottle cap from her water... try it! From there I did my best to lure Jess to the Adelaide Zoo by "purposely" taking us the wrong way out of the gardens. It didn't work so we basically ended up walking in a big circle to where we started and then headed to the South Australia Museum. As you can imagine, not quite my cup of tea. There were a few interesting bits and it kept Jess quiet for a couple of hours so no harm done!
This evening we headed to Glenelg on the tram which is a brilliant place. We didn't spend long enough to fully experience it but there was a lot going on, loads of bars, bistros etc and a fantastic beach and long pier. We got some chips and sat on the grass, got stalked by some seagulls until some odd guy clearing out the bins started feeding them, and had to make sure our dinner didn't blow away in the wind which was very strong.
Early night tonight as off to sample some wine in the morning.
Speak soon!
