Happy New Year !!!

We have had one of the best nights ever . We were lucky enough to get tickets to Mrs Macquarie's point in the botanic gardens, this view point overlooks both the opera house and the harbour bridge. Being ticketed there was only a limited number of people here meaning we got a clear view and space. So we plonked ourselves on the grass next to the bar and settled in for the countdown.

With our tickets we got all you could eat food and music so we were not bored. We also got to see the resident bats flying in and out of their trees, an aerial show and the family fireworks at 9 o clock which were also amazing.

As it hit midnight we all stood up and had a firework show like nothing we had ever seen, it was an amazing moment and definitely a highlight of the trip. The fireworks surrounded us completely. But like all good things it had to come to an end, however we weren't ready to go home just yet and somehow found ourselves crashing the VIP event next door. We finally got home around half 3 in the morning.

2014 has been an amazing year for both of us we have both seen and done things people may never get to do in their lifetime. So thank you 2014 and hello 2015!!!!
