The western part of Norway is absolutely beautiful. I had no idea. This part of the country rivals the Swiss Alps, if not better. Everybody talks about Switzerland, but you don't hear much about Norway, definitely unjust because this is as good as it gets. We arrived here by taking another free cruise boat from Helsinki to Stockholm, just as good the second time. However, this time I spent some time in the game room that has free PS2 video games, it just keeps getting better. We also watched another movie on the ship's mini movie theater which has couches and huge cushions rather than typical movie seats. We also watched another show at the ships theatre and this time they sang a bunch of songs from the 80's, solid show. Our train from Stockholm to Oslo was one of the most scenic we've had. The Swedish countryside is just as beautiful as Norway's. The train ride from Oslo to Bergen in Norway only got better, because this went through the mountain range in Norway. I still don't understand why Norway's not hyped up more. If you've seen Switzerland and like it, book your next vacation to Norway and you won't be disappointed. We took a ferry through one of the fjords around Bergen, this is another case in which I don't think the photos will do the landscape justice. It was amazing, our weather wasn't very good and it was still great, I'd love to do this in the summer as well. The fjord our ferry went through was one of the most narrow, with mountains rising up on both sides, directly next to the water. We also met a couple of businessmen from America in Bergen and we hung out with them for a couple days, you can see their pictures in the photo section, really good guys. At one point, when Sean and I were in the tourist office Doug and Lawrence (guys from above) came in with a sandwich and told us to eat it. Turns out it was a whale sandwich! Now, for anyone who knows Sean, this is a huge step in his life, because his greatest fear is whales (I don't know why, it doesn't make any sense to me either). So hopefully this event will help him overcome his fear now that he's realized we're higher on the food chain than whales.
