We left the National Park behind and drove on to Wellington. We had a few stops along the way and arrived in the Capital in the afternoon. Morrie took us on a city tour and seeing as Wellywood is his hometown, the tour involved driving past his Mum's house and the school he used to go to!! After a photo stop on Mt Victoria we checked into our hostel. I dragged Danielle down to the quayside to hire some rollerblades. We didn't have much time before sunset and Danielle doesn't really skate so we didn't get very far plus the rollerblades were hurting my broken toe (technically it isn't really broken but it hurts alot and I haven't been able to bend it for about 2 weeks now).Â
The group met up in the hostel bar and we headed out for Thai food as a treat. A few people (me. Danielle) were leaving the tour in Wellington so it was a good way to say goodbye. We had a nice Thai meal then went out for a drink. Morrie told us about a bar which we went to but it was expensive and I was tired so headed back quite early to bed.
