Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
On our way back to the highway we took the scenic road which followed the coast closely and was really nice. It lead us to Point Lowly where we took a walk around the lighthouse.
Driving on, I expected to like Port Augusta more but not many people had nice things to say about the area.
Driving up to the Flinders Ranges was a really nice scenic drive and we stopped at the Kanyaka Waterhole which was and still is a permanent water source. We looked at the Kanyaka Homestead Ruins and a woolshed that was used from1864 and is in extremely good condition.
We continued on to Merna Mora Station which is just outside the Flinders Ranges National Park. It is a working sheep station with bush camping available to guests. They also have powered sites and an ensuite which it was nice to have a hot shower available only for the day and night to be so hot that a cold shower was actually more desirable.Only two other campers here but millions of flies once again.
