Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
Check out was at 10am so we stayed until then as our next camp was only minutes down the road but we couldn't get in until 1pm. So we went to the beach for a bit before buying lunch and then waiting outside the boom gates to enter the Beecroft Weapons Range.
We got there early as it is first in first served and can get booked out. Last weekend cars were lined up on the road. Lucky for us there was only one other group an hour before opening and about 6 more arrived shortly before 1. This was no problem as there are just over 50 sites available. We also ran into a family we initially met at Mt Gambier whilst waiting at the gates.
After setting up, we went down to the bay and it was windy as there were strong winds warnings for most of the NSW coast at the moment. It was also coming from the worst direction for our position making the bay making really choppy. We decided to hold off snorkelling until tomorrow when the wind is meant to change direction. We spent the afternoon chatting to John and Lauren and the boys had a great time playing with their kids Tahlia and Ashton.
The camp sites are a good size only downside is they lack any water views which would be amazing .
