Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
We had hoped to camp on the northern side of Jervis Bay at Honeymoon Bay but have been delayed. It is part of Beecroft Weapons Range for the navy where they still do live training so is only open to campers on Friday afternoons through to Sunday's. It is also open for 3 weeks straight during the NSW end of year school holidays. During summer holidays it is a ballot system and on the weekends first in first served.
We probably would have just moved on if it wasn't for the security handing us a brochure and seeing a photo of Honeymoon Bay...it looks amazing, so we will wait for it. We are staying at Currarong Beach which is just up the road and we will hang here for 3 days until Friday. We are meant to get 2 partly sunny and warm days out of the next 7 so hope to make the best of them.
We got settled and after calling 6 medical centres all around the Nowra region I finally got one willing to take Zach’s staples out. I couldn't believe how hard it was...seemed like no one wanted to touch it.
We drove into town for and have decided we aren’t a fan of Nowra. Driving around today it literally smelt like manure every where we went in town. No idea where it was coming from but it was strong. The highlight was we saw Santa in the shopping centre and both boys go to ring his bell.
