Hey all well i got to queenstown and its a nice place but not all thats cracked up to be really - its a real party town! So i decided to stay up at another lodge up the hill away from town as heard some bad stuff about the recommended hostel and now im glad that i did that(even though had to walk back in the dark on my own - it was worth the cleanliness!) Went out that night with the bus people and had a good time. Started off in altitude bar then moved onto World bar where i had a tea cup (an actual teacup full of long island ice tea - yum!!) So stayed there the remainder of the night and met up with sarah who i met in christchurch. So danced the night away with everyone and i decided at that point that i wanted to watch the rugby at 6.30am the next morning so i couldnt be bothered to walk back to my hostel and walk back again so i found some ppl from the kiwi bus and asked to stay on their floor - luckily enough they ahd a spare bed in their dorm so i slept there for a bit then got up for the rugby. I was lookin a lil rough when i got to the bar so i barman took me under his wing and kept pouring me glasses of ice water and lemon. After the 1st half i had had enough and england were doing s*** so i walked back to my hostel and slept! The rest of my time in queenstown was spent looking around, having dinner out with some friends and enjoying the scenery - even though it did piss down with rain more than once - wasnt best pleased! While there i did some hang gliding which ive never done before and i did it over "the remarkables" and it was amazing - it only lasted 15mins but had a great time!! Felt like i was a bird!! That was queenstown - im going back there after i finish the bottom bus! hasta luego! nikki
