Woke up after an amazing night out at arc bar. Was planning to take the bikes back, but it was s***ting it down so read my book for a while.
Eventually rain subsided enough for me to take em back, bit of a debate about getting deposit back, but all fine in the end. Met Corinne downstairs, and we (me soph and her) booked travel to koh Tao tomorrow.
Me and soph went for breakfast, and I was planning to read my book on the beach for the day, but started raining rally hard again :-(. So instead joined sophie and went to the mall, had a good time for a few hours wandering around and looking and all the cool stuff that was way too expensive for me to buy!! I got bored and tired after a while, so left soph in the mall and wandered back to the hostel.
Read my book in bed for a while (I was very determined to read that book!). Then at 8ish headed downstairs to see if anyone was about in the common area.
Met ben and ruben down there, I was originally planning to have a quiet night in, but fomo (fear of missing out) hit me hard, so we headed out. Got some food, I had a pad Thai, but ben spent massive money on some ribs he said were kinda s***, so glad I didn't go for that option!!
We headed down to the bar area and had a pool tournament on the way in a weird 'working girl' bar place, just us playing pool and older westerners with the girls, but am pretty used the that kind of thing by now. I lost both games, but I'm going to blame it on the wonky table!!
Got to the bar area and headed to green mango (club/bar) where we knew some others from our hostel were heading, but it was dead, massive place with barely anyone in it. Waited a bit for ben's friend to show up (also called ben so nice and easy to remember!), then headed back to arc bar on the beach.
Chilled with some drinks and watched the Thai fire guys (poi and bo staff). I asked if I could have a go with the fire poi, but they wouldn't let me :-( (must remember to take mine out with me) guessing its because they don't want useless westerners burning themselves! Stroked a monkey and hand an iguana on my head (it's a crazy place!!).
Eventually headed to the dance area, loved it again, good music and raving with sand between the toes :-D I had fun practicing some bottle spinning (like bartenders do) as well, still not very good, but gives me another toy to play with when I forget to take my poi out!
Left at 1:30, bens left on a scooter, while me and ruben walked back along the beach, saw a cool bar with live music on the way and stopped for a drink, nice to have a chill after hardcore arc bar!!
Got back to the hostel at 2:20, and surprised to find bob still up, as usually it's deserted but that time! Went to bed and read my book for a while, set lots of alarms so we don't miss transfer tomorrow!!
