The classic story before a bus ride, got up at 6:30 to be ready to be picked up at 7 as on our tickets. But of course just ended up waiting until 7:50 enforce that tuktuk took us to the bus station to leave at 8. Woke up hungover :-( went to greenhouse for breakfast and headed back out to mbk (shopping centre). Long wander around, just window shopping for me although sophie bought some stuff, back for a bit of r&r. 6 am wake up, and picked up at 7:15, drove to Damnoen Saduak floating market. Wandered up and had breakfast (pad Thai of course). Soph had a picture with a slow loris, and we went onto a paddle boat (wooden canoe thing) which took us up the market, it's was amazing & chaotic, beautiful town with waterways instead of roads. Early(ish) start to see grand palace, but when we arrived found out it was for Thai Buddhists only in the morning, so wandered for an hour or two. Incredibly hot day with sun out, back in hotel for a cool down dip. Headed out for lunch and third attempt at the grand palace, tuktuk driver took us for free, but we had to visit his sponsor (a tailor - the second time we'd been to that tailor!!).
