Had real nice lie in despite not actually being out that late, but it's cool as we don't really have much to do today, just waiting for our flight tomorrow morning.
I got bored after breakfast/lunch, sophie obviously happy to stay in and sort various things.
I looked up the nearest park and wandered down by myself, still loving wandering around town with headphones in. You see all the interesting stuff, but are detached so don't get hassled as much and don't feel the need to interact when you do.
Got to the park, it was very nice, not huge but beautifully done, with circular lake in the middle and a few paths, bridges, benches etc...
Perfect place to practice my poi skills!! Did that for an hour or so then chilled by the lake, lots of large fish (50cm long) and saw a huge lizard (cover image) 1.5m ish patrolling the lake. Could always tell when he was about to arrive as the fish would freak out and run away in front of him.
Chilled in the park reading and practicing with the poi, just as I was about to leave a German girl came up and wanted to have a go with the poi, let her have a play. Then ended up chilling with her and her mates, 3 German people, Katie, ben, venessa, they'd just got into Bkk, and were heading to china town, but I convinced them to head to ksrd with me.
As we were heading back it started s***ting down on us, so we decided to stop at a local food place, had some amazing and interesting food there (including really old black eggs). Carried on through to ksrd with them and headed for a beer :-) chilled ad chatted for a while then remembered I'd agreed to meet soph at 7 so left them and headed back to meet her, she wasn't quite ready so went back out to chill with the Germans.
Chilled and drank for a bit then wandered ksrd (but it was raining :-(. ) and went to the next road (where our hostel was) chilled and drank some more and soph came and met us. Stayed out till 11:30 but we got a plane tomorrow so had to head off :-( said goodbye and went back to bed and sorted packing for the next day.
