As i mentioned in the previous blog 1770 is a really nice chilled out small place. I am actually staying in Agnes Water which has 300 perminant residence, 1770 just down the road is a tiny village with only 30 perminant residence, hope that gives you a scale of just how small it is.

After two very long and tiring days myself a Emil had no energy to do anything more than watch a couple of DVDs in the communial lounge area before calling it a night. The next morning we were in no rush to get up. However we did put our names down for a free tour/ orienation of the area which lasted about an hour and half. It was fairly interesting, made better by the fact we were doing something and didnt have to pay for it. Not that either of us were too money conscious hehe.The afternoon however we had booked onto something completly different. It calls itself 'Scooteroo' we were told you cruise around the area on scooteroos which to me sounded like mini motors or mopeds or something.

We pull up to the place and there are about 30 mini motorbikes lined up in rows some in the same style as Choppers.Most were 150cc a few were 200cc so more powerful than Mopeds. We were told if you havnt done it before go for a regular style one, however the guy pointed me towards a Chopper and insisted even when i told him i had no experience. So needless to say i felt a little nervous on something more powerful normally just for people who ride bikes already.

However they wernt wrong when they said it is pretty easy and that we would pick it up pretty easily! Because after 10km maybe less i was feeling fine! Shooting around the australian country side at speeds up to 80kmph (50+mph) again such an amazin experince. Stopping occasionally to see Kangaroes on the sideof the road, two of us had to swerve at one point when a kangaroo decided the grass was greener on the otherside.

Towards the end of the trip we pulled up to a small beach with loads of rocks by 1770 marina. From here its one of the only points on the east coast you can watch the sun settting over the sea, so thats exactly what we did. Not as nice as when i came up from scuba diving but still a gorgeous sunset, challenging those of hope cove! Absolutely beautiful before heading back to base.

What an amazing experince, i really see the buzz in riding motor bikes although do now know just how vulnerable you are on them!
