We managed to get a job in a 5 star resort called silky oaks in the Jungle just inland from Port Douglas in a town called mossman!! It was quite a neat set up as they sorted us out with food and accomadation as well as paying us!! Firstly they put us up in the resort which are kinda like chalets/huts in the forest. From One of our days off from work, in exchange for a little function we had to do for the boss he took us to Cape Tribulation which is where Captain Cook wrecked his boat on the outer reef there!! We had a day off work and went out to the reef, the weather was perfect nice and sunny and hot and the water calm!! We went to the Agincourt reef system right on the outer reef and my got was it good! We decided to hire wetsuits as we wanted to stay in the water for ages, however it was'nt exactly cold!! Heyy, We got to Cairns about a week and a half ago now and its been pretty mad ever since. We got ourselves sorted out with phones a bank account and some jobs. The weather was loads warmer when we got here from New Zealand, almost to hot some days bearing in mind its the middle of winter here.
