Today was our last day at the cabin. Our ferry back was booked for 16:20 so it gave us until after lunch before leaving. This morning we awoke to the best weather so far. The lake was like a mill pond and not a cloud in the sky. Once everyone was up and dressed we got in the car and headed to Coombs. I started today off with a one hour run along the lake road. Didn't meet any bears or cougars! On returning to the cabin I changed into my swim shorts and used the outdoor shower. When we were out for coffee yesterday we saw a poster in a window for an artisan festival in Comox, about 40 minutes north of Horne Lake. So as the weather was good and the wind had died down we decided to go. When we got to Comox and parked we went for coffee.
