I started today off with a one hour run along the lake road. Didn't meet any bears or cougars! On returning to the cabin I changed into my swim shorts and used the outdoor shower.
Because of bad weather during the winter season, Lyndon's boat dock had been damaged so this morning Earl was bringing some replacement sections to repair it. We laid out the good sections by the water and carried down the new sections from Earl's trailer. Slowly we bolted each part together and added wheels and legs. Kodi decided to sit in the shade under each raised section or walk along the deck while we were trying to lift it.
Once the dock had been rolled into the water we collected up all the old parts and loaded them on the trailer, said goodbye to Earl and went in for lunch.
The wind in the afternoon was picking up so I didn't think it was safe for Molly and I to go out in the kayaks so Lynn, Lyndon, Tracy, Molly and I went to Bowser for a coffee ( which now seems to be a daily habit) Lynn and I had a caramel macchiato which I think was the biggest sugar fix that Lynn had had in years as it was like drinking caramel. Lyndon embarrassed us all by throwing the balls on display outside the shop but Molly was impressed by the sun visor/ sunglasses combo. We went in the store to top up supplies and I bought a tub of cinnamon spread.
When we got back to the cabin the weather was still very windy so we brought in everything from outside and decided to play the Star Wars version of game of life. ( cue everyones best impersonations and quotes) After Tracy being so far behind all the way through the game ended up wiping the floor with all of us.
We had a dinner of "indoor barbecue" turkey followed by lemon meringue pie.

pete hughes HOW do you have a indoor barbecue? where does the smoke and stink go ? and Tracy your mum wants a IPOD , WHAT!! BEAM ME UP SCOTTY ******* NOW
nick the way the cabin is built means it has an enclosed deck with screen windows so if it's raining or really windy you can use the barbecue in that section. Smell was great. Good luck with the iPod!!
