When we were out for coffee yesterday we saw a poster in a window for an artisan festival in Comox, about 40 minutes north of Horne Lake. So as the weather was good and the wind had died down we decided to go.
When we got to Comox and parked we went for coffee. As it's near the water the town had a nautical theme with two of the shops fronts being full sized boats.
After coffee we walked to the festival entrance but there were big signs up saying no pets allowed ( we had Kodi with us) so Molly, Tracy and I arranged a time to meet up with the Harveys and went in.
There were a lot of interesting items on the stalls. One of the best was a water feature made from brass instruments. Tracy and Molly were looking at some hand made clothes, but a kids jacket for $165 (£110) seemed a little too much.
We sat to watch a couple of singers, both of which were singing similar songs. Both about the towns or states where they were born. It's amazing when I think how few songs I know with English place names in compared to North America.
After we had finished looking around we all met up and picked up pizza and then Dairy Queen.
On returning to the cabin we got the speedboat ready and took Molly out in the tube. I had taken the video camera with me so thought I would join her swimming. Because we were in the middle of the lake the water was really cold. After Molly had finished we took the boat and tube back to the cabin.
In the evening Lyndon beat us all at Lord of the Rings Monopoly.
