April 21st (Tuesday) - Day 51 - Geraldton to Kalbarri
Had a good look around Geraldton - it was a sleepy little town exactly like you see in the movies. We checked out the scenery and a few shops before pressing on up north. I got stuck talking to some local in a petrol station for a good 20 minutes who just would not let me leave! 4 hours later we arrived in Kalbarri, setup and walked to the beach. It was an odd little place. The river meet the sea quite a way out and the beach was actually on the river. I listened to some music for a bit and then we walked down the river out to the sea. The waves were huge! Went back to the camp site and had a few drinks before cooking a good old fashioned Aussie BBQ.
