This morning, once again we couldn't be bothered to go down and get breakfast! The hotel breakfast isn't that great anyway- slices of ham, cheese, toast and jam! So we went to a cafe down the street and had a capuccino and a white chocolate crossaint- which was tastier than it sounds!
We then had a walk through this market where nothing was genuine- bags, hats, cigarettes, so we promptly moved on and came across the supermarket that was closed last night. It was called MD Discount which implies that it was cheap but this was like netto! But even cheaper!
There were two prices on the label, a really expensive one and a really cheap one, so just to make sure it was as cheap as we thought (before we filled our boots!) I bought a can of pop! Then we went back through and bought alsorts! Wine, chocolate, snacks, loads of things! Shaun was very pleased with his purchase of a bottle of Amaretto (70cl) for €3.89! He's even drinking some now!
We went back to the hotel with our purchases and eventually set off to explore Naples on our last day here! (only an hour and a half after we left the hotel the first time!)
As it was getting quite late on (after we got sidetracked by cheap alcohol!) we made our way to the National Archeological Museum which had some stuff in excavated from Pompeii. We managed to get in for half price because we were under 26 and spent a good few hours in there! It was a lot more interesting than the Ufizi! We thought we wouldn't buy an audio guide after we just got annoyed by the last one in pompeii but I wish we had because almost everything was in Italian with very little English! But we managed to decifer what was what and had a good look! After that we wondered down the main street of Naples and everything was shut- with it being a Sunday!
We stopped off at a pizzeria that was open and had our 3rd pizza whilst being in Naples! A full pizza at lunch time is a bit much and we were stuffed after that! But still there were a few more bits of Naples we wanted to see before we left so we soldiered on!
After being rolled out of the pizzeria we went to this royal palace and had a look round there which was ok, but got a bit boring after a while!
We wondered back to the hotel (which took ages because we seem to have booked hotels miles away from anywhere!) and cracked open our snacks and drinks from the cheapy supermarket!
So tomorrow we leave for Rome, it doesn't look as though the B&B has wifi so don't be alarmed if you don't hear from us everyday!
Naples has been good, a bit dodgey at times but we've stayed safe. We walked past a bank before that had a sign in the window with a picture basically saying you couldn't come in wearing a mask with a knife or gun! I thought that would be common sense, but apparently not in Naples!
Everyone's probably worrying about us now but honestly we're fine!
Speak to you all soon!
Bye! xxxx
