Surfers Paradise is an impressive, modern beach resort. It is full of holiday apartments and backpacker hostels, but you can understand why. The beach is massive and very impressive. It is so big that they have broken it down into lots of different parts. There is main beach, Broadbeach, Mermaid Bay, Miami and lots of others. The new sky scrapers are very impressive and right on the beach. There are of course, lots of surfers here and its amazing to watch them! Wish i could do it! Not sure about if i want to learn or not, watch this space!! There are lots of posh shops, and also tacky ones to suit everyone. At night, they have markets all along the beach where they sell everything from fruit to teddies! Also, when we were there, the guy was there who does all the really impressive sand art along the Gold Coast. He made a huge dragon that was breathing fire! It was really good. Surfers has a really nice atmosphere and we had a great campsite which had hot tubs and three pools! Very nice!!
