We spent a day at the Hunter Valley which was great, but not long enough! We went out early in the morning and met John the Pom, (a friend of my Uncle Alan's) at the bus station. Sydney is a lovely city. Most of the people are very friendly and helpful, and it is full of tourists! The Blue Mountains are absolutely stunning. The whole area is a lot more built up than i thought it would be. We stayed at Katoomba, the main accommodation place in a really nice caravan park which, just across the road, had an amazing view of the three sisters and Katoomba falls. Byron Bay is a lovely little town. Its smaller and has an older feel than Surfers with small little gift and clothes shops in the small centre. It is, of course, full of backpackers, but the beach is very impressive and there are amazing views to be had. We went up to the lighthouse and walked around Cape Byron which was breathtaking.
