We all slept a little better last night - I think we are acclimatizing to the heat and noises, and didn't get up until 8 am. As much as I love Kakadu it is a terrible place to have a good night's sleep!! At midnight last night the bats woke us all up when they began screaming in the tree that overhangs the caravan. Then at 4 am the power kept tripping and the microwave would ding every time it went on and off. In the end we have to turn the fridge to gas and use a 12-volt plug on the Engle. The boys woke up just before six and had to be separated, as they couldn't keep quiet. Matty was moved to the couch and everyone else managed to sleep on until 7am. The mornings in Kakadu are fantastic - a perfect temperature outside and no mossies!!
