Nick and I had a bit of a sleep in this morning as the kids played quietly in their beds until 8am. Katharine made everyone pancakes for breakfast and it was a double batch of mixture so it took a while. Nick supervised while I did some laundry and then it was time for schoolwork. By mid-morning the boys had had enough of my English grammar lesson and Nick had to take over before it all ended in tears! We had lunch and then went for a drive around Katherine to explore. Unfortunately it's not a pretty town. Most of the buildings in town are either boarded up or have metal grills over their windows and doors. There was rubbish dumped everywhere and when we went to the shopping centre someone was passed out in the doorway! We grabbed our groceries and returned to the caravan park as soon as possible! We spent the rest of the afternoon around the pool although it was a little cooler today so I didn't get in. Jonny didn't last too long and so I took him home early for a hot shower. Anna wasn't too far behind but the others stayed at the pool until around 5pm. Nick made us all burgers and chips for dinner and then we sat and watched the stars until bedtime. We saw three shooting stars and made a wish on each one so hopefully they will all come true!!
