Nick and I both woke up at quarter to seven and went and sat outside to watch the sunrise. It was a little chilly so we put a rug over our knees and got a glimpse of what we'll look like in 40 years time!! The sunrise was incredible and so was the activity on the lake. Eventually we had breakfast and packed up and were on the road again. We reached Katherine around 2pm and checked into Shady Lane Tourist Park. We had a beautiful site, surrounded by trees and it was hot and humid - good to be warm again! Once we'd sorted out the caravan Nick took the kids food shopping so that I could scrub the caravan and wash all our sheets and towels. Luckily it was so warm that everything was dry within an hour of being on the line. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool, which was freezing but refreshing. Nick made an awesome salad for dinner and the kids passed out really quickly and quite early. We sat outside in the dark and enjoyed the temperature and the stars.
