Today we got together with the Earlys for some more beach time. When we arrived, Caroline and Cooper were getting ready for their naps. We manged to tear Jamie away, and the three of us headed to the beach.

The waves were pretty perfect today. We've heard that they were pretty calm most of the summer, but the storms seem to have shaken up the water a bit. We all went swimming for a while and then Corey and I did some boogie boarding. We tried to wait for everyone else to show up, but we decided to head back.

Sure enough, as soon as we got to the house, everyone was awake and ready to head to the beach. Before we left the group, Jamey's wife invited us to join them for dinner at Ocean Boulevard. The grandparents volunteer to babysit the kids for the evening, so the adults could have a night out.

Ocean Boulevard is a really nice restaurant. It was quiet and the menu was fantastic! I had the duck, which was marvelous (although I don't know that I've had enough duck to really compare...). It reminded me a lot of The Peaks restaurant at Signal. We were so full by the time we left!

We all went back to Corey's place and spent the evening laughing at "Fashion Rocks" on TV. I must say there were some odd performances on that show!
