After a fun evening of delicious food and sightseeing in Niagara Falls last night, Bryan kindly showed me Battlefield House, a famous historic site here in Canada where the Canadians fought and won a battle for their country. We also visited his office, the Active Body Clinic, where they do great work with physio and chiropractic services. Natascha then took over and drove me to a mall at Burlington, where I visited every shoe store in search of boots! Luckily ...

Mark and John collected me at 4pm and we took the scenic route to Buffalo via Niagara on the Lake - which is gorgeous! Traditional town, with older houses, boutique shops, bistros and the river waterfront. The plan was to stop for a beer, but ice cream drew us away. We had the most fabulous gelato and coffee at Carlottos, an artisan ice cream shop, using local ingredients and making the ice cream on the premises. YUM! I had small tasters of plum, pear, chocolate...

As with all pioneers, we headed for Niagara Falls in a blizzard! Bryan, Natascha, Lucy, Eva, Vincent and me were the only people there (apart from some Polish and Japanese tourists). We had a lot of fun and enjoyed seeing the amazing waterfall which you can virtually touch in some places. The natural wonder was made all the more wonderful by the Christmas displays and downtown lights!

Another great day here in Canada. My 'tour guide" John, drove us to Toronto to experience the big city. Despite the rain, the skyline looked great. We went in the Eaton Centre, which is based on Yonge Street (a street which runs for miles). There's a whole underground system linking mall after mall underground. We managed to navigate the rabbit warren and arrive back above ground in the right place! All the walking gave us an appetite so we stopped for coffee a...

All fuelled up from the mega-latte we headed over Skyway Bridge with great views (despite rain) of Hamilton's steelworks and skyline across the water. Back at John and Sandra's the open house party had began. I met around 25-30 relatives! I think I remember most people's names, although I may mis-spell them - John, Sandra, Mark, Bernice, Joe, Carla, Steve, Ali, Drake, Christian, Alicia, Nina, Amanda, Ashley, Dean, Dino, two Angela's, Lauren, Cherry, Anthony, Bry...
