Woke up late and had relaxed morning. Decided to do walking tour of Brugges with Suzie and Mark (again!). Went round the town just admiring the buildings etc. Went on boat ride, had really funny guide that could speak about 10 languages! Gave different perspective on the town so all fun. Walk took about three hours after getting distracted and lost from the route. Won't surprise you that the main distraction was the chocolate! All shared a small bag of shell choc...

Travelled from Paris to Brugges - 5 hours on the coach. Goes quite quickly so far. Got to watch an episode of Ally McBeal (i can hear you groan boys!) Obviously just reminded me of my own Ally, Gable! Anyway arrived about one in Brugges really tired after Paris so got some food from the local supermarket and crashed in the room all afternoon. Dorms nice, lots of beds but clean. Showers not so clean however! Had to go through the hostel and across the patio unless...

Hey. Went to Versailles today with Megan. Got bit lost on the trains getting there - tried to get connecting train at wrong station. Even used my best french trying to find the train! Eventually got there and joined the huge queue to get in. Was worth it tho. Incredible place. The building is huge. Only went in the state apartments - so extravagant almost nauseating! My favourite part was the gardens. Stunning landscaping and awesome size. Best bit was the Queen'...

Went on the bike ride today with Megan (room mate) - was really good if not potentially dangerous. Went on pavements most of the way but occasionally had to cross huge roads, great when combined with French drivers! Saw some amazing things tho and guide was really good. Saw the major places. Met at Eiffel Tower and went to the Louvre, Grand Palais, Invalides, Tulleries Gardens etc. Unbelievably hot tho - nearly burnt with 30 on (being vv sensible mum!) - now have...

Bon soir! I am now in Paris. Had long trip, managed to sleep part of the way which won't surprise some of you! Ferry very calm and lovely so the journey I had been dreading was fine. Hotel very basic but ok - room mates nice and friendly even if one has got flu. Trying to avoid her without looking rude! Met some nice people already. Have spent the evening sat overlooking Paris at the Sacre Coeur eating a baguette and ham with a group of chums. All good! Off to be...
