Another big day today, started with a session of the Table Tennis - both men and women qualifying rounds. Some competitors were great, some well weren't fabulous. Next, boxing!!! Got to see the super talented Alexis do her magic. She is such a superb boxer and it was disappointing to say the least that she didn't pull through today, it really was not the best decision made by the judges because she owned it and she went out on a split decision. We also saw Jo Joyce and Reece McFadden that were amazing boxers also. We caught up with our good friend Naeem and had lunch with him, his daughter Alexis and her mother. Was so nice to see them all and have some good laughs, Alexis filled us in on the perks at the athletes village and about her competing as a boxer. We had to say goodbye to them as we headed to the 94kg men's division in the weightlifting. Australia was coming first after the PNG guy who was in second place, his last lift initially wasn't completed but later they changed the call and the Australian came back on, probably annoyed and seemed rushed. He couldn't complete the last lift and therefore finished in second. Not fair! Would have loved to have seen a gold :( another amazing and fun day, just such a shame with the results.
