Our flight was to depart from Lima at 2am, however due to being lucky passengers of Air Canada Rouges first flight from from Lima to Toronto. We were delayed due to handing out of cupcakes and pictures of flight crew and ribbon cutting. Needless to say we were not impressed with this hoopla at 2am and all we wanted was to get on the plane and sleep! We eventually boarded and took off. I was able to get some sleep on the plane, flight was pretty uneventful.

Customs was not much fun, everyone seemed to be ornary but thankfully it went fast. The customs agent did not even talk to me. Grabbed my passport and card and looked at it and shoved it back to me. I just took it and smiled and wished him a good day :) Straight to Tim Hortons for a coffee of course!

It was time now for me to board my flight to Edmonton and Nat to head east. We said our goodbyes and I boarded my flight to Edmonton. Sure is nice to have a drink with ice in it!

Am home now and very happy to be in my own bed. As much as I love my travels, I love coming home!

What an amazing adventure! I was grateful to have a great travelling companion Nat! It was everything I had imagine and more. Machu Picchu was spectacular and all the fun off the beaten track adventures we had were amazing.....unexpected sometimes is the best!
