Welcome to my next adventure! I have dreamt about visiting Machu Picchu in Peru for a long time and it feels quite surreal right now that I am on my way! The thing about living in the north is it usually adds an extra day of travel to your adventure. Trying to get to a major city in time for connections leaves you flying in the day or night before. As I am doing this trip on my two weeks off I booked a flight out on my Tuesday home day and was lucky enough to fly home from work on Monday night and have a bit of time for more unpacking and packing! I am flying from Yellowknife to Calgary to Edmonton where I have splurged and treated myself to a very short stay at the new Edmonton Airport Marriott Hotel! Tomorrow I will fly to Toronto where I will meet my friend Nat and we will take the next flight to Lima. Our plan is to visit explore Lima, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicacca......anything else that we find along the way will be a bonus! Come along and enjoy the adventure!
