What was supposed to be a day playing DDR at the Arcade in Sakae, turned out to be a day of watching a parade. I'm not kidding, we got to Sakae and noticed the tents in a park near by and we're like 'what's going on... I suppose we'll check it out later after we play a few games of DDR.' So we get turned around and when we finally find out selves on the right road we find that we can't GET to the arcade because there is a parade through the street. So we stop and hang out to watch, and apparently every year in Oct. there is a fall festival and this parade happens every year. I'm so glad I happened to stumble onto it.
Of course I didn't HAVE my camera, but GELSEY did, so I told her to take pictures, which she did gladly and I just snapped some on my phone. (she obviously gave me the pictures for the album.) We then went to the Arcade and played DDR.
I felt very inadaquate, why? because I couldn't get through a song on Standard. I'm so sad, and of course the Asian guys had to play it and play it on heavy. I need so bad to get back into DDR shape.
After DDR we ate at FujiIchiban which was a little hole-in-the-wall ramen shop. IT WAS DELICIOUS! <33 Then we walked around Sakae for a little, stopping by the festival area and wondering around a shopping mall. While at the festival we bought Candied Strawberries and I - not realizing the suggar hadn't dried all the way - got sugar all up on my shirt so it looked like I either had had a bloody nose or had gotten in a paint faint.
After we found Sakae station again we got icecream at Basken Robins, and I think I got a nice waffle cone for like 450yen. I was most delighted. And then we did a bit of late night shopping and then we came home and we both crashed.
Today was a fun day we worked on our props for our production of the Lion King, IN JAPANESE, for our school festival. XD I'll be sure to take pictures.
Ja matta!!!
