I'm here. I'm in Japan and I have to say I'm stoked! My room is actually really nice and it's not that small really. Once I get some more color in here it will be like home. And I'm sure with mom wanting to send me pictures it'll be great.
The longest flight was 13 hours, I took Dramamine before boarding so my stomach didn't hate me and I actually slept through most of the first 6 hours of the flight. But the last 7 were BOREING and I'm sorry but when JAL designed their chairs they designed for Asians because I felt fat as I was snuggly fit in between two air rests. Luckily on a row of three seats the seat between me and the gentleman at the window. So I could stick my feet between the middle seats for a little more stretching room. Beside me was a young mother and her 2? /3? Year old son he was SO adorable. He walked up and down the aisle wearing mommy's shoes and just being sweet. When we got close to landing Jim made an appearance and he and the little boy became friends. Once we landed in Tokyo we wondered around a little lost at first, but thankfully a gentleman was able to point us in the right direction.
The flight from Tokyo to Nagoya was a whirlwind flight only 45 min. At this point it was five o'clock local time and I ate on the longest flight around 12ish? Local time, so keep this in mind. We went through customs and security again and a group from NUFS met us at the exit. Kana-san was my guide from the air port and she helped me get my cash exchanged and then she put me on a bus and off we were for Fujigaoka by this time it was 6:30 and we didn't get to Fujigaoka until like 7:30? Then another group of students met us and shipped off us in Taxi's to I-house. By this time it was 8:30. I'm hungry and tired. I get a little unpacked and decided on a shower. I honest had been feeling HOT all damn day so I took a cool refreshing shower and it made me feel a little better. I got help making my bed and then at around 9:30 after a little exploring around the House and talking with the peeps here (WHO ARE SUPAH AWESOME) I went to bed. I stayed zonked out until like 7:30.
And that's when I woke up today! So I've been awake from about two hours now, I finished putting things away this morning and then grabbed some pictures of my room and the House. It's really nifty looking. I honestly think that if you want to encourage students to mingle this style of dorm is amazing. I wonder if I can petition GSU to tear down B/S and make it awesome like I-house. XD I would totally live there! I think some of the residents here are going to take us shopping later today which will be amazing so I'll have to play tourist and take my camera. It looks like it'll be a clear day so no worries about rain. But I suppose I'll write another blog later! Pictures will be forth coming! Matta ne!
