The clocks went forward again today, now we’re only one hour behind the UK. The weather is definitely cooling down, it was about 15 degrees when we did our mile after breakfast.
As soon as I got back to the cabin I started my packing. I didn’t do too much, just clean stuff into the smaller of the two suitcases. I’ve brought a large, blue case, a smaller, red, one and a drag along of the type that you can stick in an aircraft overhead locker. I’ve also brought a gym bag and laptop in a bag. The latter I’ll use as hand luggage and the three cases will be placed outside my cabin on the last night and collected from the reclaim hall in Southampton.
I’ve been writing my webpage on the laptop, so basically it’s contemporaneous. I’ve split the cruise into two parts and was hoping to upload the first part whilst away. I bought an internet package for a day but unfortunately the speeds are so slow I couldn’t even connect to my web-host, so that will have wait until I get home.
Our penultimate formal night tonight. In the Champion’s quiz, which was arts and literature, we scored an astounding 17, the winners 19. We could have had 18, but I’d never heard of the detective in the answer, although his surname was one of Linda’s suggestions. The four of us took part in the Syndicate Quiz, while Linda and Rob did the music quiz. They’re turning into the equivalent of table 39 in that quiz and all for some lousy stamps instead of wine. I’ve let her have any that I’ve won when I’ve been on their team. There are only so many key ring/pen sets a man wants or needs, so she can have them. We scored a lousy 10 in the Syndicate.
