Somewhat unexpectedly I did some laundry this morning as I like to push the limits of my experiences! Went to the Battle but it was as bad as the previous ones and I think tomorrow may be my last.
Rob and I went to the 13:00 lecture only to discover that it was held at 11:15 today! I played quoits in the afternoon and despite not throwing a quoit in anger since my last South American cruise, Norman and I got through to the second round. Then I lost!
Our second formal night. As we were given 1/2 bottle of champagne, we drank it while getting dressed. I find a little lubrication helps when tying bow ties. However, Barbara forced me to drink a glass of red too!
The menus seem to have changed a bit. So today I had Sussex Pond Pudding for the first time ever on board. After dinner we went to the theatre, where we saw the new Binliners show called Fantasy. P&O appear to have decided to embrace modern music, as we have now lurched into the seventies!!!! It was actually quite good. It’s the first we’ve seen Luke, Scott’s boyfriend, perform.
We then went to the Crow’s Nest where the Aurora Orchestra slaughtered a few tunes, loudly, before the Syndicate Quiz. The SQ was much better this time, although they could speed it up somewhat. After coming last but one on Saturday, we came second with 18/21. (Don’t ask)!
