Just a normal sea day today, nothing much to report. The weather is cooling down now and the sky has been overcast most of the day. The seas are calmer too. Especially after last night when there was a thump outside our window and Barbara swore! I’m guessing it was a rather large wave rather than anyone trying to get in.
My internet package ran out in the afternoon, but we did manage to check in for our next cruise and book a couple of shows as well.
In the morning we saw Shaun Wallace’s second talk, all about his tv quiz career. He’s been on quite a few, including some I’ve never heard of. I saw him in Horizon later and he said ‘Hi’. He recognised me from the Syndicate Quiz.
We sat by the Crystal Pool this afternoon and it was really warm. I think it’ll cool down quite a bit in the next couple of days.
Champion’s Quiz was British TV Sit-coms. We scored 16, the tiebreakers got 19. In the Syndicate Quiz, Shaun played solo and won with 17. He wasn’t able to have the bottle of wine, so it went to the next highest scoring table. Bloody 39 again, but with a lousy score of 13. We scored 10.
Today was the day you could select your departure time. We wanted 8:30 but were told 9:30 was the earliest available slot. Barbara has a 10:00 train, so we’ll still get off at 8:30. Our cabin is just up from the boarding point and they’re hardly likely to turn us back.
