An extremely bumpy night, but I slept well enough. The outside decks were closed so, after I’d updated my webpage (it won’t be uploaded until I get home as I forgot to copy some gifs to my laptop from my desktop), I made an appointment to speak to Jon Bartram in the afternoon.
Barbara and I spent the morning in Anderson’s and then I had my meeting in the Glasshouse with Bartram. He said I could have a glass of anything, so I had Malbec! It was quite an interesting and informative meeting. ‘Nuff said.
The weather was not at all nice. The Captain said it was constant drizzle, a bit of an understatement. As Barbara said ‘it was pissing down’! We had a phone call to say that the sail by would be held in the Uganda Room. She and I both managed to shift 4 glasses of (real) champagne. Because the weather was so bad I’m glad that my pictures from (exactly) three years ago were taken in brilliant sunshine. I took one photo today. Just before we left Luke and Jayson from the Binliners called in. We had a quick chat then left.
For some reason there were three quizzes on at 22:30. The Syndicate, a musical one and the pub quiz. We decided to go for the pub quiz and we won it. The trouble is that these days they give gold stickers instead of wine. We gave ours to Linda who is collecting them for another radio.
Let’s hope the weather is better for tomorrow’s sail by the Pio XI glacier. In case you’re interested, on pocruises dot com you should be able to find the webcam for Aurora. You may even be able to see our transit through the Panama Canal on February 15.
